Library Notes--6/11/2014
Thursday on the South Royalton green, The event is 3 -9, we'll be there 3 - 6.
The library will share a table with other area libraries. There will be schedules for summer programs at all area libraries; STORYTIME with Emily at 4 pm and much more.
A great family event now in its fourth year, this gathering features lots of live music (including the truly local band, Haywire), demonstrations, community groups and crafters, workshops (including Nova Kim and Les Hook’s popular “Wild Foods” workshop), The Arts Bus, and many activities for kids (hula hoops, face painting, calypso drums and more). Of course, this celebration of local would not be complete without the expanded Farmers Market and special food vendors highlighting local food.
Thanks to the huge tent, this event goes on rain or shine (special acknowledgment to the South Royalton School and Can-Do Tents and Events). This community event is free.
Emily and I will visit Newton School this Friday to tell students about our summer programming and send home a schedule of events. Students are welcome to stop in and start a summer Reading Log anytime after school ends next Monday. Our hours are Monday 1-8pm; Weds. 2 -5; Thurs. 10 - 5 and Saturday 9 - 12.
The best book sale around is coming up SOON! July 4 & 5. Drop off donations anytime.
