The library will be closed Monday, Sept. 2. Enjoy Labor Day.

Thursday, Sept. 5: 1 pm: Reading Group will discuss the award winning book "Beyond the Beautiful Forevers" by Katherine Boo.

Thursday, Sept. 5: 7 pm: if you're interested in buying spring flowering bulbs, join in this meeting to combine for a wholesale order.

Children's programming will be starting up again:
First Fridays Storytime starts next Friday, Sept. 6 at 10 am.
Thursdays after-school program will start on Sept. 19, 3:15 - 4:15.

If your child kept a Reading Log at the library this summer, please stop
by at 6:30 this evening (Monday) to celebrate their accomplishment!
We'll have simple refreshments, congratulations, best wishes for the school year and
a special gift from the Friends of the Morrill Memorial Library.

Are you interested in ordering spring flowering bulbs ---- daffodils, crocus, etc?
If there is enough interest, we can schedule a meeting at the library (VERY SOON-

On Monday, (Aug. 26) at 6:30 pm we will hold our CELEBRATION
for children who have kept Reading Logs here at the library this summer.
They did a great job ----- 31 children participated, reading 360 books!
Please join us in congratulating our young readers with certificates and refreshments.
Once again, thanks to the Friends of the Morrill Memorial & Harris Library for
generously supporting the program with a special gift for participants.

Friday: STORYTIME 10am. This will be the last weekly Storytime for the summer season.
We'll resume a monthly Storytime in the fall ---- watch for announcements. And let us know if you're
interested in a weekly Storytime, we'd be delighted if there was a demand for it.

Monday (Aug. 12) : 6:30 pm: Children's program --- making fossils. This will be the last of our summer
programs. Emily is busy planning the after - school program. Again, watch for announcements.

Friday, 10 am : STORYTIME. All preschoolers welcome (and siblings, etc.)

Monday, 6:30pm: Children's Program ----- finishing Fairy / Gnome homes we started last Monday.
If you didn't start one, you can still join in ------ start one and put the finishing touches on at home.
Also, kids should remember to fill in their reading logs at the library.
