Library Notes--3/17/2016

March 17, 2016
The library is very fortunate to announce that it recently received a very generous donation from Catamount Solar, a worker owned local solar company.
Donations like this are an important source of revenue to support both regular and special expenses and we are most appreciative.

Recently arrived titles, or expected next week: "At the Edge of the Orchard" - Tracy Chevalier, "The Summer Before the War" - Helen Simonson, "Off the Grid" - CJ Box, "Widow" - Fiona Barton,
"Midnight Sun" - Jo Nesbo, " Fool Me Once" - Harlan Coben, "Journey to Munich" - Jacqueline Winspear; non-fiction: "The Immortal Irishman" - Timothy Egan, "Grandma Gatewood's Walk" - Ben
Montgomery, "Thirty-Eight: the Hurricane that Transformed New England" - Stephen Long (from Corinth), "Wild By Nature" - Sarah Marquis; DVD's: "Peanuts", "The Big Short", "Spotlight", "A Walk in the Woods" and "Brooklyn".

Please return all LUV DVD's by Saturday, so we can return them for a new collection.

Stephen Long will be at the Norwich Bookstore this evening (Wednesday) --- reservations recommended: 649-1114
Thursday (3/17) evening, at Royalton Memorial Library in SoRo, all are welcome to a program with Mimi Beard, from Woodstock,  author of "He Wanted the Moon: The Madness and Medical Genius of Dr. Perry
Baird, and His Daughter's Quest to Know Him". 7 pm.

so you are welcome to stop in and check one out if you want to participate in this engaging program. Here...

December 19, 2015
The library will close at 3 pm the next two Thursdays: Dec. 24 and Dec.31. We hope you'll have time in this busy season to stop in and borrow a book (or DVD or audiobook) and find some time to relax and enjoy a good read.
